Good old Knee Deep. I rarely get a beer that disappoints from them. This was a perfect beer to have starting the third quarter and watching the Warriors pull ahead and vanquish the Rockets. Knee Deep is a great brewery from the Sacramento region. They do many beers, but they are probably known for their Double IPA, Hoptologist. This one in turn is also a Double IPA and is worthy of praise as well.
RU-Deep-2 (play on Star Wars R2-D2) pours with a nice pillowy and frothy off white head. A deep straw yellow colored pour, but doesn't leave the nice super sticky lace trails that some beers with a higher sugar content do.

Has the standard higher abv notes in the nose. I slight touch of alcohol, a bit of dankness, light citrus and a wee bit of a grassy note.
This one has some nice bitterness to it. You can really taste it in the aftertaste. Malt takes a backseat, but it's there. Good level of sweetness helps balance out the bitterness. Earthy with a lemon rind taste that lingers.
As said above, the aftertaste endures. You're going to taste this one for a while. Has that sharp bitter upper mouth coating.
A solid brew. The sweetness of the beer makes it much more drinkable, as if this wasn't there, the bitter hops would overpower. Glad I gabbed a 4-pk of this last week.
